Thermal Remediation
SEALAND ENVIRO has been involved in In-Situ Thermal Heating (ISTH) since 2013. This practice area is in addition to the Company’s capabilities in thermal desorption of contaminated soils ex-situ. In performing soil and groundwater remediation by ISTH, SEALAND ENVIRO utilizes Electrical Resistance Heating (ERH) to reduce contaminants in soils and groundwater to the remedial goals specified. In 2017, SEALAND ENVIRO successfully completed the Former Duso Chemical Site remediation project in Poughkeepsie, NY utilizing ERH technology for the NYSDEC and engineering firm AECOM.
